Parliamentary elections in the Republic of Moldova, scheduled for September 28, 2025, will take place in an increasingly vulnerable information climate, marked by disinformation campaigns, influence networks, and coordinated hybrid operations. In this context, the experts at Digital Forensic Team are launching the project Focus 28 – a bimonthly newsletter in Romanian dedicated to journalists, editors, and media networks in Moldova, Romania, and Eastern European countries.
The newsletter will deliver alerts about emerging toxic narratives, case studies, useful resources for newsrooms, and interviews with experts in security, OSINT, and media. The project will also include a dedicated WhatsApp group for rapid early warning and collaborative fact-checking.
Focus 28 is an independent tool designed to support the press in the face of hybrid threats.
