Dr. Nicolae Țîbrigan is co-founding president of the New Data Academy Association, coordinator of the <Digital Forensic Team>.

He holds a PhD in Sociology and is a researcher at the Institute of Political Science and International Relations "Ion I. C. Brătianu" of the Romanian Academy. Since 2018 he has become an associate expert at LID Moldova, coordinating a series of projects to expose digital disinformation in the Romanian-speaking information space.

Dr Nicolae Țîbrigan is a recognised expert in the field of countering disinformation and digital propaganda, European and trans-Atlantic security, nationalism and digital radicalism.

Co-author of Propaganda and counter-propaganda, Practical guide to fact-checking, NATO for young people and Resisting misinformation and online harassment and author of a series of analyses published on Adevărul.ro, Agora.md, PressHub.ro, HotNews.ro and G4Media.ro

As a researcher he focuses on research and analysis of information security, media & digital literacy, fact-checking, digital information analysis, countering strategic narratives and Russian propaganda in the digital space.

Dr. Nicolae Țîbrigan graduated from the Faculty of Sociology and Social Work of the University of Bucharest, the Master's program in Security Studies and the Doctoral School of Sociology of the same university.
