Freedom House Romania , together with the Center for Democracy and Human Rights (CEDEM) in Montenegro and Transparency International Moldova, is launching the project E-MPACT – Ensemble pour une Mobilisation Participative et Active Contre la Désinformation, a regional initiative aimed at strengthening the resilience of young people and teachers in the face of disinformation. The project is funded by the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF) and will run from September 2025 to June 2026 in Romania, Montenegro, and the Republic of Moldova.
Over the course of 10 months, E-MPACT will include:
- media literacy trainings for high school students and teachers;
- educational and interactive workshops for students from disadvantaged areas;
- a creative multimedia competition “Mème la vérité – Démasque la désinfo”;
- a regional awareness and information campaign;
- a study visit to Bucharest.
The project promotes critical thinking, cultural diversity, and democratic values, contributing to the creation of a sustainable regional network of educated and civically engaged young people who can navigate safely in the digital environment.
Within the project, Dr. Nicolae Țîbrigan, Coordinator of the Digital Forensic Team, delivering specialized sessions on digital disinformation analysis, OSINT methodologies, and information resilience strategies.
