Freedom House Romania Launches Training Program for Future Media Literacy Trainers

Freedom House Romania is now accepting applications for an intensive training program dedicated to students who are passionate about democratic education, critical thinking, and media literacy, and who want to become trainers and mentors for high school students in disadvantaged areas.

The program is part of an international initiative E-MPACT — Ensemble pour une Mobilisation Participative et Active Contre la Désinformation, carried out in partnership with CEDEM – Center for Democracy and Human Rights (Montenegro) and Transparency International Moldova, with the support of the International Organization of La Francophonie.

Selected participants will follow a Training of Trainers (ToT), which combines theoretical training, practical exercises, and non-formal education methods, coordinated by experts in combating disinformation and trainers with experience in civic education.

After the training session, the most involved participants will be directly integrated into educational activities carried out in high schools in vulnerable communities, where they will apply the skills they have acquired, working in teams with teachers and specialists. The program offers a real opportunity to transform theoretical knowledge into concrete impact and contribute to the formation of a generation of informed and responsible young people.

All participating students can also benefit from two-month internships at the Freedom House Romania Foundation after completing the program.
